what is kratom?
Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tropical evergreen tree in the coffee family native to Southeast Asia and indigenous to Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea, where it has been used in traditional medicines for over 2500 years.
Kratom is also used as a snack to receive guests and as part of the ritual worship of ancestors and gods. At Lacuna we use Kratom as a social lubricant and recreational beverage.
Kratom is used for a variety of reasons including recreational purposes. You will typically begin to feel the effects within five to ten minutes and lasting for two to five hours.
Taking too much Kratom can cause nausea, vomiting, itching, drowsiness, and dizziness. If experiencing any of that make sure to drink fluids and eat something. We recommend having something to eat 30-60 minutes after having a tea to avoid any unpleasant effects.
